Decorate your cakes with this beautiful catcorn. Follow the step by step tutorial! It’s so easy!
First, for the body…
Take 45 grams. Roll it to get a semi-cone, or oval shape. Flatten the wide part on the table with short turns.
This step is very important! Don’t forget it!
Place the body on the dummy, and insert a skewer on a rotary motion. Cut the skewer with pliers, leaving enough space to insert the head later.
Shall we make the lower legs?
Make two balls of 3 grams each. Obtain an elongated, teardrop shape just by moving your finger along one side of the ball.
Flatten it with your finger. Notice how I place my finger. The widest part is not flattened.
Take a pointed tool and mark two lines for the fingers.
Use the ball tool to make 3 small indentations on each finger. And a bigger one for the plant. Fill each of the holes with a fondant ball. Make sure they are not too big. For the soles of the feet, flatten the balls with your finger.

Take the pieces and bend them as you see on the picture.
Place them on each side of the body.
You already have it?
For the arms…
Make two long tears of 3 grams each. Flatten them by the widest part, giving light touches at the ends.
Use a pointed tool to mark the fingers. That’s how they should look.
Now, it’s time for the head, don’t worry, it’s super easy! 🤗
Take 50 grams for the head. Make an oval shape, and flatten it with the palm of your hand without leaving fingerprints.
Use the ball tool to make the eye sockets as you see on the image.
Fill the eye sockets with two white balls. The amount will depend on how large you have made the indentations. Then, cut out two black circles very thin for the pupils.
Some details … remember, they will make a difference!
Make two small sausages with a pointed end and a slightly wider one.
Place each of the sausages on the eyes to make the eyelashes. You can bend them. Add a little dot for the nose and apply blush. You can attach the head to the body when both pieces are firm.
Shall we make the wings?
For each wing, you need a two gram ball and two one gram balls. Make three tears. The larger ball will be longer and will go in the middle. The small ones must be the same size.
The tail, let’s not forget!
Make several sausages like the ones you see on the image, of different colours. Stick them at one end.
Let’s make her ears😍
Cut a thick circle with a circle cutter. Cut it in half and gently pinch the round part with your fingers to form a triangle.
You can make two indentations for the ears with the dresden tool.
Time to assemble parts!
Add the arms to the body, first apply glue. Also place the ears on each side of the head. You can apply blush inside.
Stick the wings on the back and the tail on the bottom. If you want, you can make an indentation with the small ball tool and insert the tail, to prevent it from falling.
For the horn, make a cone with a very small white ball.
Shall we put flowers on it?
Cut thin strips of different colors and roll them on themselves as you see on the image.
Stick the horn and place the flowers around.
You can add other details, such as the heart place on the body. And this is the catcorn tutorial, hope you enjoy it!
