How to make homemade edible glue with tylo powder
There are many options when it comes to making homemade edible glue. In this case, I’m going to show you how to make homemade edible glue with tylo powder and water. Very easy.
You will need: a container (if possible airtight), water, cmc or tylose powder, and a 1 ml teaspoon.
Let’s see the step-by-step
How to make homemade edible glue with tylo powder
Pour a quarter cup of water into the container. In my case, I like to make small amounts and thus avoid spoiling.
Then, with the teaspoon, I add two teaspoons of cmc or tylose powder. You can see what it is here.
I let it sit for a while, and after that time, I stir it with a teaspoon to help dissolve any lumps that may have remained. And it will be ready.
Here is the video with instructions, where I explain how to make it. If you have any questions, leave them in comments.

If you want it a more runny consistency, add a tablespoon of water. If, on the other hand, you want your edible glue to be more dense, you will have to add more CMC.
To consider:
- In the fridge it lasts up to 3 months. Outside the fridge, check it periodically because it will depend on the climate where you are.
- It is advisable to close the container well to prevent it from drying out or becoming contaminated.
- In summer, try to keep it in a cool and dry place. If it is very hot, it may evaporate or dry out.
- Some people add a few drops of lemon to keep it longer. Personally, I have not noticed the difference.
